on 6th August.

The 24 delegate sisters came from 5 countries (US, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and
Cuba) to look back at the previous 6 years and - relying on the help of the
Holy Spirit -to define the directives of the next six years. The Chapter Body
elects the new General Moderator and her Council.

As a preparation for the chapter work there was a 3 days retreat led by Orobator
Agbonkhianmeghe SJ who had been the former provincial of the East-African
Jesuit Province.

Service are represented by their general directors ( Sisters Jeanine Scarfone SSS and
Michele Walsh SSS).

The Opening Mass took place in the Blessed Sister Sara Church at Újpalota with the
participation of many Hungarian sisters and other friends. It was celebrated by the
Nuncio Msg. Alberto Bottari De Castello. Young sisters of social service provided
the music service.

Motto 2015

Speak Lord, I am listening;
to do your will is my delight

punkosd kapolna pici

Come, Holy Spirit and fill our hearts! 2015

We celebrate our response to God's loving call:

One novice makes her first vows; young sisters renew their vows and two of them make final profession.

Several sisters celebrate God's faithfulness in their lives: twenty-five, forty, fifty, sixty-five or seventy-five years in the Society of the Sisters of Social Service.

"Life in the Spirit is a life of pilgrimage. We walk from call to call, from challenge to challenge in faith, peaceful and even joyful amid uncertainties.

The Spirit urges us to faithfulness in our response and commitment to a constant search for fuller life."
